Facebook is pushing its mobile app pretty hard, even though it’s not quite a money maker for the company. The app has been updated with a few neat features that might be helpful to you on the go, including a “swipe-left” contraption that makes it easier for you to chat with your friends.
As if you really need yet another app on your phone, this one might help you continue to integrate your Facebook life with your real life and mobile life. Good luck with all of that.
The updated app, released yesterday, lets users swipe left anywhere in the app to see who’s signed in and send a message. That feature came to Android about a week ago, on September 20.
Another change lets users pin the people they message with most to the top of their favorites list. The chat interface has also been given a makeover with speech bubbles; some bug fixes have been made; and, according to the iTunes Preview pagefor the app, the update brings “improved speed and reliability.”
